World Youth Congress, Turkey

July 18, 2010

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have been appointed as a UK Young Ambassador. In my role as a UKYA, I'm attending the 5th World Youth Congress in Istanbul, Turkey. I'm very excited about the congress and think that I can really learn a lot from it.

Sharing experiences with 1000 other young people from around the world can only be a good thing. I hope that I'm able to get so many great ideas that I will be able to bring back to the not only the UK or Scotland, but indeed my constituency too.

I will be regularly blogging during the congress in order to allow you to keep up to date with what is going on in Istanbul.

I'm delighted that I'll be joined at the congress by my colleagues, Ben Wesson and Jess Simonds, who are also UKYAs.

Before Turkey, I will be in London for a meeting with the rest of my UKYA colleagues from around the UK and look forward to hearing about the exciting projects they have been working on over the last few months.

Hope you're all having a great summer and keep checking my blog regularly for updates from the WYC in Turkey!

* I fly down to London on the 28th July and then on to Turkey on the 31st.

February was fairly busy with lots of meetings. Malawi, CPP, MAGM, and visiting youth clubs throughout the consituency...
